Over the last few years, Dubai has gained a veritable reputation in the global media arena, thanks largely to Dubai Media City – the first project in TECOM’s media cluster.

By the time Dubai Studio City was announced in 2005 an additional segment to the cluster, the attention of the global film and broadcast industries was already turning towards Dubai. This upcoming free zone dedicated entirely to film and TV production interested filmmakers and producers greatly, because of what it can offer.

Keeping this in mind, we have ensured every element of Dubai Studio City truly reflects world class standards: the infrastructure will cater to companies from across the industry value-chain. DSCwill offer offices, post-production studios), sound stages, workshops, warehouses, backlots, and a Business Centre for freelancers. Companies will also be able to build their own studios and facilities in custom-sized plots. In short, we will offer anything that is needed to facilitate excellent production. Already, the boutique studios are operational with broadcast and production companies taking advantage of the top-notch services by DSC.

Our single-window Location Approval Services (LAS) expedites and facilitates the approval process for all film shoots and photography activities in Dubai and the UAE. It provides a full bouquet of enabling services including location scouting, visa, travel, accommodation arrangements, weather reports and access to talent.

While ensuring that we offer our business partners the best in terms of facilities and locations in order to help them get a strong foothold in the international film and broadcast industry, we have not overlooked the aspect of developing future industry players. Growth of new talent will be encouraged by film and television institutes and academies at Dubai Studio City.
